Slot was vexed with Nunez and informed he would have a discussion with the forward regarding his work ethic as the Dutch manager felt his intensity dropped after squandering two gilt-edged goal-scoring opportunities. Following the manager’s remarks, the striker took to social media to share a defiant message, making it clear that he remains focused and determined to prove his worth.
“I wasn’t the best three weeks ago, and I’m not the worst now. If I fall, I get up. You’ll never see me give up,” he wrote. “I’m going to give it my all until the last day I’m here in Liverpool. Resilience!”
Nunez’s message did not go unnoticed, and former Liverpool striker Suarez was quick to lend his support.

Nunez’s lack of composure in key moments has led to frustration among supporters, with an increasing number beginning to doubt whether he can become the prolific striker Liverpool envisioned when they signed him for a hefty fee.
